Flask Coolers Type 140

The Flask Coolers Type 140 are specially designed cooling systems for both the pleasure boating and professional boating, providing an efficient solution for cooling engines and other systems on board ships. The system is welded against the hull on the inside of the vessel, which keeps the underside of the vessel smooth and minimizes installation space.

Features:

• Mounting:The surface coolers are easy to install because they are demountable. This makes installation quick and efficient.
• Sea Water Resistant: The coolers are resistant to seawater and are designed for use in marine environments.
• Compatibility: The coolers are suitable for applications with limited installation height.
• Bronze Interior & Steel House: The inside of the flat-top cooler is completely bronze, while the house of the cooler is made of jet blasted steel, which contributes to its durability and corrosion resistance.
• Connections:
  • The Type 140 bronze hoods have a hose or threaded connection.
  • For other coolers, a flange connection is used, with a set of contrast flanges and gaskets included.
• Ventilation: The cooler is supplied with a thick-walled welding elbow for venting, and the corresponding pipe should be mounted below the water level for optimum operation.

Calculation of Required Cooling Area:

To determine the required cooling surface area, use the following rule of thumb:

• 1.5 x (HP / 100) = required cooling surface area in m².
